Plainfield, NJ – September 23, 2025 – The Queen City Academy Charter School (QCACS) is proud to announce the appointment of Simone Sears as its first-ever Director of Operations, marking a historic milestone in the school’s journey of growth and innovation.
Ms. Sears joins QCACS from Explore Schools in New York City, where she served as Associate Director of Operations. She brings a wealth of experience in operational leadership and school management, with a proven track record of designing systems that foster organizational excellence. Ms. Sears earned her undergraduate degree at Spelman College and a master’s degree at Hunter College, equipping her with both the academic foundation and the professional expertise to excel in this critical new role.
As QCACS continues to expand, Ms. Sears will be responsible for designing and managing back-office systems that ensure operational efficiencies across the school. Her leadership will strengthen processes that enhance the experience of families and staff alike, ensuring that the organization runs smoothly and effectively during this period of growth.
