Special Services
Welcome to the Queen City Academy Charter School’s Office of Special Education. In collaboration with the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey to provide quality special education programs and other related support services to our students with disabilities. The department provides professional development for district support personnel in areas of state-mandated training, best practices for instruction, and specific areas of disabilities.
The Office of Special Education is responsible for the following areas:
- Identification and evaluation of students who may have an educational disability
- Development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Development and oversight of special education programs and services
Vision
The Office of Special Education strives to meet the educational needs of all our diverse learners. We look for innovative ways to provide our scholars with equitable learning experiences using the “least restrictive environment.” In collaboration with families, we seek all opportunities to establish a nurturing learning community for the success of all our scholars.
