Charlene F. Jones brings over two decades of experience in education,
accounting, auditing, finance, and strategic planning to Queen City Academy
Charter School. As the School Business Administrator and Board Secretary,
Jones manages auxiliary services, business affairs, and records management.
She’s also responsible for overseeing a $4.3M budget, district facility
operations, food services, and risk management.
Jones began her career in the corporate finance sector before making the
transition into education as a teacher and teacher leader. Her supervisory
experience, tenacity, and dedication to serving scholars are an invaluable asset
to the staff and students of Queens Academy Charter School.
Jones holds licenses in teaching, leadership, and administration from the New
Jersey Department of Education. She has a Master of Business Administration
degree from Rutgers University and an Education Specialist degree from Seton
Hall University. She’s currently a doctoral candidate in Seton Hall University's
Education Leadership, Management, and Policy graduate program.
Jones is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and maintains
active membership in organizations such as the National Council of Teachers
of Mathematics, New Jersey Association of School Business Officials, and
United Way of Essex and West Hudson.
